LOUISVILLE - CLEMENT E. MATTINGLY, 87, of Louisville died Sunday, May 31, 1998, at Transitional Health Services of Clark County, Ind. He was born in Knottsville, retired as the owner of the former Matts Watch Shop and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Louisville. Survivors include his wife, Mary Catherine Clark Mattingly; four sons, Charles Mattingly, James Mattingly, Richard Mattingly and Michael Mattingly; five daughters, Patricia Slaughter, Anna Richardson, Nancy Payne, Martha Marler and Sharon Wilson; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Kate Dishman and Nannie Mae Higdon. Services are at 10 a.m. EDT Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. EDT today at Owen Funeral Home in Louisville.
