The former Mayme Scully was born January 31, 1887, in Gentilly to the late Mrs. and Mrs. Daniel Scully, Sr. She was married to Elmer Conkins at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston in 1912.
She was a member of the Cathedral parish since 1912, and had been active in many parish organizations. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of United Transportation Union, Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and Degree of Honor.
Survivors include two sons, Everett L. of Brainerd and Jerome (Bud) of Crookston; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy) Browne of Anaheim, California, and Mrs. Darrel (Elinor) Munn of Crookston; 19 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Her husband died in April 1951. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, including Bruce Conkins, Patrick Munn, Gregory Conkins, Douglas Munn, Gary Conkins and Brian Conkins.
