Death of Pioneer --- Mrs. Anna Scully died at her home on Central Avenue at 12:30 this morning following an illness of over four years due to a stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Scully was a Canadian by birth, having lived in the province of Quebec, Canada, until 1871, when she, with her family, moved to Minnesota, the family home being in Gentilly until fifteen years ago when they moved to Crookston. Mrs Scully, widowed 31 years ago, would have been 79 years of age May 9. She was survived by eight children, Mathew, John, Cornelius, Mrs. Elmer Conklins, and Miss Katharine all of Crookston; Mrs. Joe Dufault and Dan Scully of Gentilly and Sister Cornelia of Duluth. Funeral services will be held from the Cathedral at 9 a.m. Monday morning and interment will be at Gentilly.
