Mrs. Margaret Throckmorton Grimes, widow of the late Caleb Grimes, died at her home near Hunter's Cave, this county, on Sunday evening, last, January 20, between twelve and one o'clock.

She was in her seventy-second year and was a daughter of Morford Throckmorton, deceased. In her early womanhood she was married to Caleb Grimes and they spent their lives at the home where both died. There were born to them nine children, seven of whom survive: Lee R. (Eva) Grimes, of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Ellie (Nannie) Elliott, of Wellsburg, W,. Va.; Morford T. Grimes, of Derby, Iowa; Mrs. Frances Sitherwood, of Bloomington, Ill.; Frank Grimes, of Prosperity, Pa.; Miss Nellie Grimes and Fred Grimes, who reside at home. Mrs. Grimes had from her childhood been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and throughout her life she was a devout christian.

Several brothers and sisters survive her: John Throckmorton, of Derby, Iowa; Mrs. Alice Lazear, of Ryerson's Station, Pa.; Dr. W. S. Throckmorton, Mrs. R. T. Guiher and Mrs. C. M. Waddell, of this place.
