Elizabeth Sidlo Died Tuesday
Elizabeth Sidlo, 74, passed away at the Webster County Community Hospital on Tuesday, July 28th. Mrs. Sidlo had been in failing health for the past few years.
Born in a sod house north of Red Cloud, she had lived all her life in Webster County, moving to Red Cloud in 1934. She was a charter member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and a gold star mother. Sidlo Post V.F.W. 5641 was named for her son, Vencil, who was killed in World War II.
Survivors are her husband, Frank, sons, Emil of Kenesaw, Albert of Hastings, and Duaine of Red Cloud; daughters, Mrs. Joseph Haller of Red Cloud and Mrs. Geo. Wittwer of Kenesaw; 21 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, five brothers, Alex, Rudolph, Fred and Vencil Strobl of Red Cloud and George Strobl of Hastings; three sisters, Bessie and Emma Prochaska of Louisville, Colorado and Tillie Jelinek of Red Cloud.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 30 at 2:00 o'clock from the Simonson Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Pickett officiating.
Interment will be in the Red Cloud cemetery.
