Obituary from newspaper:

George W. Strobl, 61, of Hastings, NE died Saturday at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Butler-Volland Chapel. The Rev. Thomas E. Holcombe will officiate.

Mr. Strobl was born in Red Cloud and moved to Hastings in 1947. He was a bus driver for Arrow and Black Hills Stagelines in Grand Island. He had been a patrolman for 16 years on the Hastings Police Department and was the groundskeeper at Johnson Imperial Homes in Hastings. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the VFW.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret; a son, Larry of Hastings; two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Tillie) Jelinek of Red Cloud and Mrs. Dick (Bessie) Prochaska of Louisville, Colo.; two brothers, Vencil and Rudolph, both of Red Cloud, and a grandson.

Memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial, with military rites, will be in the Red Cloud Cemetery.
