Henry Maples Long was the son of
Napoleon Bradford Long and Sarah
Elizabeth 'Bohannon' Long. He was
the grandson of Maples Long and
Mahala 'Atchley' Long. Also Henry
Bohannon and Amanda 'Garrett' Bohannon.

He married Arizona 'Zona' Plumlee
on March 5, 1896 in Boone Co., Arkansas.
The couple lived in Arkansas and later
moved to Texas, where Henry was a farmer.
He was a Baptist by faith.

Henry Maples Long was killed at the age
of 28, in an accident. He and Ed Thomas
were killed three miles south of Strawn,
Texas when a piece of heavy timber fell
on them. They were clearing away a burned
tipple from a coal mine when the accident
happened. Fort Worth Record, Saturday,
June 4, 1904.


Henry Maples Long was the father of 4 children:
Minnie
Hazel
Lizzie
Vancie

NOTE: After Henry's death, later, Arizona
'Zona' Long married Henry Capps. Arizona's
parents are buried in the Long family cemetery
in Boone County Arkansas, 6 miles from
Harrison.
