George Elmer Long was born in Boone County, Arkansas.
He was the son of Napoleon Bradford Long and Sarah Elizabeth 'Bohannon' Long.
George was the grandson of Maples Long and Mahala 'Atchley'
Long and Henry Bohannon and Amanda 'Garrett' Bohannon.

He was married to Mary Lucinda 'Warden' on the 30th of Aug.
1898. Mary was the daughter of Isacc Crisman Warden and Rebecca J.'Kilgore' Warden. At the time of their marriage they were living in Boone Co., Arkansas.
They were the parents of 2 children: Elna Elmer and Mary
Lucinda.
Mary Lucinda died June 1, 1908.

George later remarried and his second wife Mamie 'McGinn.'
The couple were married on February 7, 1909.
They had the following children:
George Napoleon, Clarence Joseph, Mamie Jewel, Lesley Henry, and Russell Lee Long.

George Elmer Long was a member of the Baptist Church and
he was a carpenter by trade.
