The last of nine Abler Brothers, he was the son of the late Mathias and Catherine Abler. He married Ethel VanAsten at Wisconsin Rapids, and they observed their golden wedding anniversary on Oct. 27, 1976. Mr. Abler was employed by Wisconsin Rapids Paper Mills until retiring.
Survivors include his widow; nine children, many grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Germaine Walbur and Mrs. Marie Fox both of Fond du Lac.
