Mrs. Germaine Abler Walber, 82, of 329 Weis Ave., died Tues. Nov. 17, 1981, at St. Agnes Hospital after a short illness. She was born May 3, 1899, at Mt. Calvary, a daughter of the late Mathias and Catherine Stephany Abler.
On Oct. 14, 1924, she was married to Joseph Walber of Charlesburg at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mt. Calvary. Mrs. Walber resided in Mt. Calvary most of her life, and resided with her daughter, Mrs. Laverne (Beatrice) Pickart until her death. She was formerly a member of Mt. Calvary Christian Mothers and was active with the Senior Citizens of Fond du Lac. She was employed by Petrie's Bavarian Inn for a number of years previous to 1971.
In addition to her daughter of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Walber is survived by a son, Alphonse of West Bend; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. Marie Fox of Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward Sippel will officiate, and burial will be in Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery, Mt. Calvary. Visitation for Mrs. Walber will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Zacherl Funeral Home.
