Aley "Allie" Alien Pool was born 1868 in St. Mary's (Auburn), Wake County, NC, the 4th of 6 known children (3 boys/3 girls) born to farmers Calvin Pool and his (3rd) wife Elizabeth Margaret "Bettie" Jones.

She was the paternal grandchild of William B. Pool & Alcey/Ailey Jones of Wake County; and the maternal grandchild of Green Jones & Laney Tull of Lenoir County, NC.

Her father, Calvin Pool, had married (1st) Catherine Green about 1851 and by her had 5 known children. He married (2nd) Sally Mariah Smith about 1846 and had 1 known son. He married (3rd), Elizabeth Margaret "Bettie" Jones in 1863, and Allie was the offspring of this union.

Allie was 22 years old when she married 24-year old farmer, John W. Honeycutt, on November 19, 1890. He was son of Albert "David" Honeycutt and (1st) wife Katie Whitley.

Allie & John would farm in the St. Mary's (Auburn) area of Wake County and become parents to 5 known children -- all daughters: Myrtle Vay (1891), Kate Elizabeth (1893), Agnes Alien (1895), Ruby Lee (1902), and Emma Doris (1906).

Allie was widowed in 1955 when her husband of 65 years passed at about age 89. She survived another year, and passed in 1956 at about age 88.

Daughter Emma Doris Honeycutt married Herbert Lane Arnold, Jr, and is buried here.
