Rosannah's father had first married Sally Mariah Smith in 1846, by whom a son was born in 1847, Pashal Pool/Poole (CSA). He then married her mother, Cathrine Green, by whom 5 children were born. Rosannah's mother died in 1861 (when she was about 2 years old), and Calvin Pool married (3rd) Elizabeth "Betty" Margaret Jones who became her stepmother, and by whom 6 more children were born.
