Ruby Lee Honeycutt was born 1902 in St. Mary's (Auburn), Wake County, NC, the 4th of 5 known surviving children (all daughters) born to farmers John W. Honeycutt and his wife, Allie Pool.
She was the paternal grandchild of Albert David Honeycutt & Katie Whitley of Auburn; and the maternal grandchild of Calvin Pool and his (3rd)wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Margaret Jones.
Ruby married John Clyde Barrington and soon thereafter removed to New York City where John was a social worker and residential church director. Here they became parents to 4 known daughters:

* Jeanette Barringotn (c. 1929)
* Marjorie Barrington (c. 1938)
* Cynthia Barrington (c. 1945)
Moving back to North Carolina, the family resided for a time in Fayetteville.
John served in World War II and he and his wife later resided in Wake County. Ruby was widowed in 1978 when her husband passed at age 74. She removed to Dillon, SC where she resided with her daughter, Jeanette, until her passing 12 years later in 1990 at about age 88.
