Frances A. Wooldridge, 83, St. John's of Hays Nursing Home, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Hays Medical Center. She was born Dec. 7, 1918 in Hays to Frank and Mary (Basgall) Bollig.

She married Charles Wooldridge on Oct. 14, 1939, in Anderson, Ind. He died Dec. 27, 1984.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the parish Ministry of Praise.

Survivors include four sons, Charles, Jr., Olathe, Phillip and Brian, both of Hays, and Bruce, Bowling Green, Ky.; seven daughters, Sharon Gottschalk, Barbara Obholz, Frances Wooldridge, Pam Driskill and Nancy Schyler, all of Hays, Mary Winters, Olathe, and Patricia Wooldridge, Munjor; three brothers, Marion Bollig, Hays, Frank Bollig, Manhattan, and Cecil Bollig, Duncan, Okla.; four sisters, Marcella McCollum, Fort Wayne, Ind., Helen Knowles and Margaret Hazelton, both of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Clara Walters, Hays; 29 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, three brothers, Leonard "John, " Robert "Cap, " and Elmer Bollig, and a sister, Celestine "Dena" Obholz.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, with. Father Earl Befort officiating; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine. There will be a parish service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials to are suggested to the church.
