Helen Bollig Knowles, 87, Lake Havasu City, Ariz., formerly of Manhattan and Anaheim, Calif., died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Las Vegas Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas.

She was born Nov. 14, 1921, in Hays to Frank and Mary (Basgall) Bollig.

She attended schools in Hays. She was a cosmetologist.

Survivors include her husband, Everett Wayne Knowles; a son, Francis Wayne Knowles; three brothers, Marion Bollig, Hays, Frank Bollig, Manhattan, and Cecil Bollig, Duncan, Okla.; two sisters, Clara Walters, Hays, and Margaret Hazelton, Lake Havasu City; and a granddaughter, Kelly Sue Knowles, Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Marcella McCullum, Celestina Obholz and Francis Wooldridge; an infant sister, Dolores; and three brothers, Robert, John and Elmer Bollig.

Services will be March 7 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Lake Havasu.

Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church for Masses.
