BIOGRAPHY UPDATED on 12 May 23

Peter Farrell was born on 7 Mar 1886 in Rocky Fork, Gilmer County, West Virginia. Sources and evidence are generally consistent with the birthdate and consistent with the birth location, however one conflict does exist regarding his birth year. A birth record lists his birthdate as 7 Mar 1885, however all other sources and evidence indicate 7 Mar 1886. Based on the preponderance of evidence, I am assessing 7 Mar 1886 as the correct information until proven otherwise. His parents were Peter Farrell and Anna Cuff, although their spelling is somewhat inconsistent among sources throughout the years which I attribute to the difficulty in pronouncing and spelling their names. It appears he may have had 8 siblings; Margaret A (m. Craft), Mary C (m. Fitzpatrick), Elizabeth Beatrice (m. Rush), Thomas Vincent, John, Patrick Francis, Anna Gertrude (m. McCudden), and Ella Madalene (m. Bohan). According to World War I Draft Registration Cards on 12 Sep 1918, he had a medium physical Build and was Medium Height. He had black hair and brown eyes.
