The Johnson County native had lived most of her life in Toombs County and was the daughter of the late Samuel John and Sarah Martha Davis Booth. She was a member of the New Corinth Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, J. Tom Galbreath, Vidalia; five daughters, Mrs. Pearl Whitfield, Mrs. Margarette Morrison, of Vidalia, Mrs. Martha Austin, Gaithersburg, Md., Mrs. Katherine Owens, Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Elizabeth Ruis, Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, Sam Galbreath, Santa Claus, Dan Galbreath, Gaithersburg, Md., John T. Galbreath, Midway; two sisters, Mrs. DeAlice Galbreath, Mrs. Nellie Cartrette, Vidalia; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Galbreath were held on Thursday, January 28, 1982 at the New Corinth Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Bill Sweat officiating. Interment followed in Galbreath Cemetery. Pallbearers were Booth Galbreath, Bill McGowan, Hilburn Galbreath, Everette Booth, Ellis Hitchcock, and William Galbreath. Murchison Funeral Home of Vidalia was in charge of arrangements.
