Mr. Galbreath was a native of Toombs County and had resided in other areas before returning to Toombs County approximately 10 years ago. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II and a member of the New Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sisters, Pearl Whitfield and Margarette Morrison, both of Vidalia, Martha G. Austin, Burlington, West Virginia, Elizabeth Ruis, Jacksonville, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, January 26, 1997, at 3 o'clock from the New Corinth Baptist Church near Vidalia with the pastor, Rev. Bob Corley officiating. Interment followed in the Galbreath Cemetery. Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service of Vidalia was in charge of funeral arrangements.
Pallbearers were Tim Galbreath, Curtis Galbreath, Bill Galbreath, Everette Booth and William Galbreath.
