Son of John and Rebecca Ann (Little) Denning. He married twice. He married Kathryn M. Brennan on Dec 28, 1898 in Livingston County, Illinois and had 4 children with that marriage. She passed away in 1908. Then he met and married Alice Viola Nance and married her on Nov 4, 1908 and they had a total of 16 children.

George Denning first married Kathryn Brennan and they had three children: Irene b. 1901 Gladys and Della. Katie may have died of diabetes.
He also married Alice Viola Nance and they had the sixteen children Lucille, John, Lillian, Elsie, May, William, Billy, George, Dorothy, Edward, Marcella, Junior, Irvin, Kenneth, Betty, Robert. Marcy was raised by her older sisters after infants May, William and Billy died of cholera. Betty Jean was raised by Lucille after George got TB.
