He was the third of four children born in England to John and Jane (Robson) Denning (Dinning). He and his siblings came to America to be with their father in 1852.

During Naturalization in 1852, the last name Dinning was changed to Denning. Peter lost his mother and a new born brother to milk fever in 1857. His father, John Denning, married a local girl in Clay County, Indiana in 1857, Rebecca Ann Little.

Peter's father was a Methodist Minister and lived in Streator, Illinois and settled in Bates, Missouri. He married Marian Conway on Dec 24,1869 in Corder, Missouri, and they had seven children.

Denning Services, Pay Last Honers

Friends and relatives paid final tribute to Peter Denning at the White morturary chapel. Rev. G. L. Clark, pastor of the Presbyterian church officiated and Charles Calvert was in charge of the music.

Pallbearers included Harry Denton, Ben Potter, John Beatty, Bruce Regua, Walter Coiner and M. A. Robinson.

Interment was in Twin Falls cemetery under the direction of the mortuary.

Mr. Denning, a resident of Kimberly for the past seven years, died Wednesday in California where he was spending the winter.
