Daughter of John and Rebecca Ann (Little) Denning. Born while on the trail heading west in a covered wagon, heading towards Montana. She married twice, first to George Vincent Blake, on 6-2-1885 in Livingston Co., Illinois, then to Otto F. McMurray Sr., on Sept 28, 1892. She had four children.

Mrs. Rebecca McMurry, of 315 E. Union St., died at 5:30 p.m. yesterday at the Unsbee nursing home. She was 90 years old. Mrs. McMurry was born in Helena, Mont., and had resided in Springfield for the last 38 years. She is survived by three sons, Irvin and Otto McMurry, both of Springfield, and Earl McMurry, of Albia, Ia.; one sister, Mrs. Rose Musick, of Springfield, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Remains were taken to the Vancil funeral home.
