Death Notice: Miller County Autogram-Sentinel, December 1944

Benjamin Williams for many years one of south Miller County's farmers and one of our most highly respected citizens, died Sunday afternoon at the home of his son, Adrian (Adron), who lives at the Dr. Ray Irwin place, a few miles west of Iberia. About a week ago he suffered a stroke and this was followed by pneumonia which was the immediate cause of his death. He was 83 years old.

Mr. Williams was the father of a large family of children, all of whom are well and favorably known to many of the Sentinel readers. His wife preceded him in death a year or so ago. All of the surviving children, except Mrs. Ethel Muirhead of Salt Lake City, Utah, are here to attend the funeral.

Funeral services are being held this Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 O'clock, at the Williams home, conducted by Dr. G. Byron Smith, president of Iberia Junior College. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery near the Williams home.
