Funeral services for Rev. Arnold Folden, 59, who died Thursday at El Monte, Calif., will be held in Thief River Falls Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Assemblies of God Tabernacle. Rev. Folden was a former resident of this city. For several years he owned and operated the Bible and Book Store in Thief River Falls selling it this past year.
Rev. G. Raymond Carlson, president of North Central Bible College, Minneapolis, will officiate at the services. Mrs. Ronald Heisel will serve as organist and special music will be provided by a trio composed of Mrs. Einar Strandquist, Mrs. Roy Vogle and Mrs. Lloyd Johanon.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Brodin, Jesse Vedum, Lloyd Johnson, Isaac Thompson, Einar Strandquist and Ervin Strandquist. Green Funeral home is in charge of arrangements and interment will be in the Folden cemetery near Holt.
Arnold Herman Folden, a son of the late Theodore and Amelia Folden, was born Oct. 1, 1907 at Holt. As a young man he was employed for several years in Montana before entering the ministry. As a pastor, he served churches in Montana, North and South Dakota, Delaware, Iowa and Minnesota.
He was united in marriage to Netta F. Piper on Aug. 30, 1936 in Montana.
Survivors include his wife, Netta; two sons, Arnold Folden, Jr., of Des Moines, Iowa and Orville of LaPuente, Calif. And three grandchildren. Also four brothers, Bergman Folden, Newfolden; Walter of Minneapolis, Arvid of San Jose, Calif.; Edward of Detroit Lakes; and four sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Jennie) Hutchison, Aberdeen, SD; Mrs. Edwin (Mabel) Hanson, Newfolden; Mrs. Dallas (Doris) Harris, Decatur, Ill.; and Mrs. Torrey (Alma) Johnson of Waterford, Conn.
