Funeral Services Held Saturday for Mrs. Folden

Funeral services for Mrs. Netta (Arnold) Folden, 60, of Thief River Falls were held Saturday, December 21, at 2 p.m. at the Assemblies of God tabernacle. Mrs. Folden operated the Book and Bible Store in this city. She died Tuesday in Minneapolis.

Rev. Robert Leon officiated at the services. Mrs. Ronald Heisel was the organist and several selections were sung by a trio composed of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Johnson and Mrs. Roy Vogle. Interment was in the Folden cemetery with the Green Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Duane VonWald, Roy Vogle, Ervin Strandquist, Jesse Vodurn, Lloyd Johnson, and Rodney Brodin.

Mrs. Folden, the former Netta Piper, was born Oct. 7, 1908 at Crow Agency, Montana, to Harley and Netta Pipper. She attended school and grew to womanhood at Lewistown, Mont., and was married there on Aug. 30, 1931 to Rev. Arnold Folden. After their marriage, the couple lived in various places, serving churches in Montana, North and South Dakota, Delaware, Iowa and Minnesota. For the past four years, she had made her home in Thief River Falls where she operated the Book and Bible store.

Surviving are her two sons: Arnold Folden, Jr., of Des Moines, Iowa and Orville of LaPuenta, Calif.; her mother, Mrs. Netta Piper of Thief River Falls, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 23, 1957, one daughter, her father and two brothers. Thief River Times, December 23, 1968
