Clark emergency squad founder

CLARK – Services will be held Saturday for Henry Louis Klett, 95, who died Tuesday at Rahway Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Klett moved to Linden in 1920. He moved to Clark in 1938.

Mr. Klett was a maintenance man for the du Pont Co., Linden, 35 years, retiring in 1957.

He was a member of the Osceola Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Klett was a member of the Azure Masonic Lodge 129, Cranford (formerly Essex Lodge, Elizabeth), 73 years.

He was also a founder and charter member of the Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad in 1941. He was the oldest active member of a squad in the state.

Surviving are his wife, the former Laura Taylor; and a brother, Albert of Linden.

Arrangements are by the Walter J. Johnson Funeral Home, 803 Raritan Road.
