Bill was the son of Alexander David "Sandy" McDaniel and Martha (Stubbs) McDaniel.

Bill married Susan Catherine McClellan on August 28, 1865 in Houston County, Texas. They had nine children.

2--James Albert "Abb" [1873-1927]
3--Infant [1875-1875]
4--Walter Borden [1878-1945]
5--Ada Belle [1880-1969]
6--Infant [1882-1882]
7--Benjamin "Ben" O. [1884-1904]
8--Infant [1886-1886]
9--Maude D. [1888-1980]

Bill was of the Baptist faith.

Bill served in the Confederacy, along with his six brothers.

The pictures of Bill and Susan were sent to me by their great-granddaughter, Billie (Norton) Hunter. I do not have a picture of his headstone. I have been told by some of his family that he is in an unmarked grave.
