Maude D. (McDaniel) Bacon - Ashby - Bowen - Rucker.

Maude was the daughter of William "Bill" Andrew McDaniel and Susan Catherine (McClellan) McDaniel.

Maude was married four times. The 1st marriage was to George Washington Bacon. They had two children, and later, they divorced.

1--Dora Bell [1908-1909]
2--Connie Cecil [1910-1992]

Her 2nd marriage was to Grover Thomas Ashby on September 5, 1916. Place unavailable. They had one son, and later divorced.

1--Frank David [1917-????]

This 3rd marriage is in question, for some of the family members say they do not know of this marriage, but I am showing this marriage in hopes someone can prove one way or the other. All we have is a last name of Bowen.

Her 4th and last marriage was to Wilburn E. Rucker on May 4, 1937 in Ada, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. They did not have children.

Maude was of the Baptist faith.

Maude died in Texas where she had moved to be closer to her son, Connie. He took her back to Ada for burial beside Wilburn in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

The two pictures of Maude and her obituary was sent to me by her granddaughter, Penelope "Penny" Lee Ashby. Thanks Penny. There are no pictures available of her headstone.
