A MEMORIAL ONLY

Mary Ann was the daughter of Alexander David "Sandy" McDaniel and Martha (Stubbs) McDaniel.

On January 11, 1855, in Smith County, Mississippi Mary Ann and Andrew Jackson "Jack" Herring were married. Together they had eight children.

1--Mary Bell [1855-Aft 1860]
2--William Arthur [1857-1938]
3--Margaret E. [1860-????]
4--Sarah Ann [1863-1898]
5--Thomas [1867-Aft 1870]
6--Sophronia E. [1869-????]
7--Mary J. [1872-????]
8--Julia J. [1874-????]

We do not have a picture of Mary Ann. If someone would like to add a picture of her, please do. In June 1999 when Fain McDaniel and I were at the Hill cemetery, we were over the cemetery twice looking for a headstone for Mary Ann. There is an unmarked grave next to her husband, Jack, so we are hoping that was her grave. If it is not, she deserves a Memorial, so am showing her in the cemetery with her husband. At a later time we find this is incorrect, I will make the changes.

If anyone can give any additional information on Mary Ann, please contact me.

Mary Ann was my great-grand aunt.

Descendant of Joseph McDaniel, Sr.
