Mrs. Hilda Hanson, 88, died Thursday at the Good Samaritan Rest Home. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Bethlehem Lutheran Chapel, with the Rev. Hans Nelson officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Hilda Sofie Larson was born October 13, 1871 at Preston, Fillmore Co., MN to Severt H. and Cathinka Marie Larson. The family moved to homestead north of Lake Preston, SD around 1880. On March 1, 1894 in Clark County, SD she married Hans S. Hansen. They lived at Aberdeen, SD from about 1907 on.

The couple had three children, Alvena Marie, Esther Edith, and Florence Cordelia Hanson. Hans passed away on 25 May 1947 at Aberdeen, SD. Survivors include 2 daughters, Alvena (Mrs. Charles Anderson) and Florence (Mrs. Lauren Ellwood Davies); brother Henry Larson of Lake Preston. One daughter Esther Edith died in 1939.

Mrs. Merritt Johnson played organ music during the service. Members of the Sons and Daughters of Norway, the Freya Club and Ladies Aid attended in groups.
