Mrs. C. S. Peterson, a resident of Arlington since 1883, passed away Friday, October 31, 1924 11:15 a.m., after a protracted illness at the age of sixty-one years and eleven months. Funeral service was held at the Lutheran church Sunday, Nov. 2, at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the pastor Rev. Munson. Burial was at the Arlington cemetery. In Arlington, Mrs. Peterson was generally loved and esteemed by everyone.

Anna Marie Larson was born near Christiana, Norway on Dec. 2, 1862, and was four or five years old when she came to America with her parents and settled in Filmore Co., MN. She married to Christian Peterson on August 5, 1883. From this union four children were born; the oldest, Mrs. Thomas Harrison, died in 1911. Those living are Nora Matteson, Arlington; Carl Peterson, and Dagna Schaefer, St. Paul. Those left to mourn her loss, besides the husband and three children are six brothers: Louis, in Minneapolis; Ed and Henry Larson, North Preston; Emil Larson, Arlington; Gustav Larson, Douglas, ND; Will Larson, Lake Preston;and three sisters, Hilda Hanson, Aberdeen; Agnes Torkildson, Anderline, ND; Ida Ostroot, Lake Preston. Also four grandchildren Ralph and Gladys Harrison and Donald and Mildred Matteson. Deceased had been in failing health for the past two years. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved ones.
