Mrs. A.L. Kragness, 62, Douglas, Dies

Mrs. A.L. Kragness, 62, resident of the Douglas vicinity since 1904, died at 3pm Friday in a Minot hospital, where she had been a patient since Dec. 11.

The former Anna Larson was born Feb. 11, 1880, in Flandreau, S.D., and lived there until coming to the Douglas vicinity, where she files on a homestead in 1904.

On Aug. 22, 1907, she married A.L. Kragness in Ryder.

Mrs. Kragness was a member of the Douglas Trinity Lutheran church.

Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Lee, Minot, two sons, Lyman, Douglas and R.V. Kragness, Seattle, and three grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Pete Doyle, Flandreau, and four brothers, Henry, Jamestown; Carl, Colman, S.D.; Ben and Alfred, both of Pelican Rapids, Minn., also survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Douglas. The Rev. C.M. Fosmark, Douglas, officiated and burial was in the Rosehill cemetery in Minot. The Thompson-Larson funeral home had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Hutson Bowen, John Hoff, William Skeem, Jake Tiedeman, Erick Peterson and Sam Engene.
