Ruzena (Rose) Palivec was born Apr 19, 1891 in Drahlín, Austria-Hungary (Bohemia), now Czech Republic. At age 16, Rose bought her own ticket, and immigrated to the USA aboard the ship Trave, which departed Bremen, Germany on October 26, 1907, and arrived in New York on November 6, 1907. She travelled in Steerage accomodations. She had left Drahlín, Bohemia, and planned on joining her sister Maria (Mary) Palivec, living at 88 ???, Cleveland, OH. Her listed age was 17, although she was only 16. She was the third in her family to make the trip, following Mary and James. Rose arrived just in time for her sister Mary's wedding eight days later on Nov 14, 1907 in Cleveland.

Lived next door to the Albert Trefny family, possible parents of Anna Trefny who married brother John Palivec three months before the census was taken (John, age 25, lived with wife, Anna, 24, at 3604 East 53rd St, Cleveland, OH). Incorrectly lists immigration in 1912.
