Daughter of Vaclav (James) Trcka and Marie Petrik.

Anna Trcka (possibly Plecka, daughter Anna's marriage record) was born at house number 6 in the town of Sádek (next to Drahlín), Czech Republic, on November 12, 1870. Married Jan Palivec on Sep 19, 1886 in Drahlín, at the age of 15.

Had fourteen children (including Barbara who died at birth in 1901) in Czech Republic and one child in the USA. Five of her children went to the USA between 1904 and 1912. While pregnant with her 15th child, she departed Bremen, Germany on Mar 20, 1913 on the ship Chemnitz, part of the North German Lloyd Line, and arrived in Philadelphia, PA on Apr 4, 1913, age 42, with her husband and eight of her children. They travelled in 2nd Cabin accomodations. Her U.S. contact for the trip was her son in law, Frank Muzik, husband of Rose Palivec, Cleveland, OH.

Listed in 1920 Census, Cuyahoga County, Cleveland, OH, age 49, with her husband, John, 59, foundry watchman, sons Frank, 18, sewing machine clerk, Joseph, 16, department store stockboy, and daughters, Virginia (Regina), 11, Bertha, 9, and Mildred, 8. All immigrated 1913. Lived at 12906 Union Avenue. Also living there was his widowed daughter, Toney (Antonie) Yaminik, 29 (27), and Toney's son Charley Hantl, 4, as well as another daughter Anna Wojnarowsky, 23 (21), immigrated 1908, her husband Tom, 34, Polish, machinist, immigrated 1892, and their daughter Anna, 9 months.

She lived at 12906 Union Ave, Cleveland as of June 28, 1921.

Listed in the 1930 Census, 12906 Union Ave, Cleveland, OH, age 58, with her husband, John, age 68, not employed, daughter Mildred, 18, single, and daughter Regina, 21, with her husband William Pelsnik, 25, born in Ohio, and an assembler of stoves. All (except William) immigrated in 1913 and had not naturalized.

Listed in the 1940 Census, 12906 Union Ave, Cleveland, OH, age 69, widowed, alien, with her daughter Mildred, 28, who worked as an assembler for a valve manufacturing company, naturalized. Interestingly, Mildred was listed as divorced. Also living there, renting, was Anna's older daughter Barbara, 33, her husband Frank J. Soucek, 35, and their son Frank Jr., 11. Barbara worked as a folder and packer in a print shop, and Frank worked as a truck driver for R & H Builder Supply. Frank and Frank Jr were born in Ohio, and the rest were born in Czechoslovakia .

Had a sister that died at age 14. Anna died at age 76 on Mar 8, 1947, at her daughter Rose's house at 8381 Wyatt Rd, Brecksville, OH. She was buried next to her husband at Calvary Cemetery, Section 54, Lot 1282, Cleveland, OH.
