She married John William Anders on December 11, 1855, in Frederick County, Maryland. They were the parents of 10 children: Laura, Missouri Elizabeth, William Henry, Emma Alice, Sarah Jane, Anna Sophia, Harvey Elmer J., Grayson Howard, Clarence E. and Harry Elmer Anders. Minerva passed away on January 21, 1907, in Frederick County, and was buried at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Rocky Ridge, Frederick County, Maryland.
