Obituary for Missouri Elizabeth Anders Troxell from the Frederick Daily News of Friday, December 27, 1912:

"GOES TO VISIT HER DAUGHTER; DIES. Mrs. Milton Troxell, of New Windsor, Stricken Suddenly. JUST ARRIVED AT THE HOUSE. She Was About to Enter Room at Residence of Mrs. John Brewer, at Key Mar, When Fatal Stroke Came. Arriving at the home of her daughter to make a visit, Mrs. Minerva(sic) Troxell, wife of Milton Troxell, of near New Windsor, received a fatal attack yesterday morning as she was about to enter the door to the room where her daughter, Mrs. John Brewer, was, and died almost immediately. The death was most sudden and unexpected, and came as a terrible shock to her many friends. Mrs. Troxell had driven from her home to her daughter's place, near Keymar, a distance of about four miles. The team was left at the barn with Mr. Brewer who unhitched the horse, and Mrs. Troxell walked up to the house, not far away. As she was about to go into the room where Mrs. Brewer was with her children, who is threatened with pneumonia, she fell over. Mrs. Brewer heard the noise and at once rushed to the door. She found her mother in a dying condition. Help was at once summoned and efforts made to revive her, but death followed almost instantly, and was the result of heart failure. She had gone over to visit her daughter and to help with the butchering and also to assist during the sickness of one of her grandchildren. Mrs. Troxell had not been in bad health and for this reason her sudden death was the more sad and unexpected. Mrs. Troxell was the daughter of the late John and Minerva Anders, of Rocky Ridge, and was about 55 years of age and besides her husband leaves four children, two sons and two daughters. The funeral will be held from the home of Mrs. Brewer at 12 o'clock Sunday. Interment will be made at Rocky Ridge. M. L. Creager is the undertaker."
