The Rite of Christian Burial was concelebrated by the Rev. Jerry Hartz and the Rev. Benjamin Jensen at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday June 27 at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jon Wellik, Terry Wellik, Dan Studer, Mike Studer, Marty Studer and John Studer III.
Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Flavia Eisenbacher, the daughter of Ignatius and Thecia Simon Studer, was born July 26, 1905 at Wesley. She attended school at Wesley and did domestic work.
On Sept. 1, 1926, she married Joseph M. Studer at Wesley. They farmed south of Wesley until moving to a farm near Algona in 1961. The couple moved into Algona in 1971.
Mrs. Studer was a member of St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church, Guild and the Legion of Mary.
She is survived by six sons; Joseph Jr. of Simi Valley, CA; Kenneth of Titonka; Harry and Roger both of Denver, CO; Tom of Reed Springs, MO; and John of Cincinnati, O; two daughters, Joan Studer of Algona and Shirley Ann (Mrs. Frank) Wellik of Britt. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three brothers, the rev. Linus Eisenbacher of Fort Dodge; Joe Eisenbacher and Vince Eisenbacher, both of Wesley; five sisters; Lucille Nelson and Felice Hilbert, both of Wesley, Thecia Strouth of Wilmont, MN; Ruth Strouth of Worthington, MN and Jane Faurot of Studio City, CA.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Joseph, in 1986, her parents, four brothers and two sisters. (Algona Upper Des Moines, Algona, IA, June 29, 1990)
