Felice was born on a farm North of Wesley, IA daughter of Ignaz and Thekla (Simon) Eisenbacher. She attended Catholic School, and Wesley High School. She went on to Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, IA. She taught in the Wesley area. On October 3, 1932 she married Norbert Hilbert of Whittemore, IA at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley, IA. They farmed for 15 years in the area, then moved to town where Norbert was Town Marshal for 20 years.
Felice was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joseph Guild, Catholic Daughters, Legion of Mary, Senior Citizens, and many card clubs. She loved gardening, reading, playing cards, and visiting with family and friends.
Felice had been a resident of Westview Care Center, Britt, IA since 2003, she was 97.
She is survived by seven children, Audrey Kay of CA, Dr. David/Kathy Hilbert of MO, Mary Robles of CA, Becky/Wayne Kudej of IA, Gary/Jane of IA, Margie/Tom McCleish of IA, Connie/Dan Dittrich of IA, daughter in law Jean Hilbert of IA; brother, Vince Eisenbacher of IA, sisters Thecla Strouth of MN, Ruth Strouth of MN, Lucile Nelson of IA, and Jane Faurot of CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters, Joan Duffy and Judy Hilbert; son Larry, and six brothers, Roman, Fr. Linus, Sylvester, John, Ed, and Joe; three sisters, Rosina Hammond, Flavia Studer, and Cecilia Nelson; four grandsons; and one grandaughter.
