Vincent I. Eisenbacher was born December 23, 1912 to Ignaz and Thekla (Simon) Eisenbacher on the family farm north of Wesley, Iowa. Vince spent his entire life farming in the Wesley area. He married Dorothy Smith on April 15, 1942 at Buffalo Center, Iowa. They had nine children. He married Evelyn (Gossman) Smith on July 5, 1975 at Britt, Iowa.

Vince was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Church in Wesley. He enjoyed his family and always welcomed everyone to come and visit him. He enjoyed farming and keeping up with farming news, fishing, baseball, and he was an avid card player. In his later years he always had time for "just one more hand of gin".

Vince died Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Titonka Care Center at the age of 98. He had been a resident there since July of 2006 where he had received excellent care and made many friends.

He is survived by children: Jim (Shirley) Eisenbacher, Phoenix, AZ, Rita (Al) Goranson, Mason City, IA, Jane (Terry) Krout, Mounds, OK, John Eisenbacher and friend, Flo Dahl, Waterloo, IA, Linda (Dennis) Oleson, Dows, IA, Teresa (Steve) Lappe, Wesley, IA, Ann (Ron) Kloempken, Chanhassen, MN, sons-in-law, Richard Paganini, Naperville, IL, and Mike Jeppesen, Pillager, MN; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; also, two sisters, Lucile Nelson, Wesley, IA, and Jane (Ben) Faurot, Studio City, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy, in 1965 and his second wife, Evelyn, in 2000; his daughters Mary Jeanne Paganini in 2001 and Judy Jeppesen in 2010; a grandson, Christopher; a great-granddaughter, Angela; his parents; and twelve brothers and sisters.

Visitation is Tuesday, 4-7 p.m. at Oakcrest Funeral Home in Wesley. Rosary recited at 4 p.m., with scripture prayer service at 5 p.m. Funeral services Wednesday, February 9 at 10:30 a.m., St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 403 East St. S, Wesley, Iowa.
