Rosina Marie, daughter of Ignaz and Thekla Simon Eisenbacher, was born at Wesley on March 11, 1903 She attended St. Joseph's school, then worked as a furrier at Ft. Atkinson, Wis. for 20 years. She married Richard C. Hammond at Fr. Atkinson on January 29, 1938. The Hammonds moved to Racine, Wis. in 1940 and lived there until 1965 when they returned to Wesley to live. Mrs Hammond died Thursday, April 23, 1987 in the Good Smaritan Center at Algona Where she had been a resident the past year. She was 84. Surviving is her husband, Richard of Wesley. The couple had no children.
Four brothers and 6 sisters also survive: Roman, Fr. Linus, Vince and Joseph; Flavia Studer, Felice Hilbert, Thecla Strouth, Lucille Nelson, Ruth Strouth, and Jane Faurot. Her parents, 3 brothers and a sister are deceased.
