Mrs. Conrad Schwindt
La Crosse -- Mrs. Katie Schwindt, 78, died early Monday at Hadley Hospital in Hays, after a 6-month illness. She was born Oct. 2, 1887 at Sutton, Nebr. and was a retired housewife who spent most of her life in Rush County. She was married to Conrad Schwindt May 27, 1909 at Alexander, Kans. He died Sept. 6, 1959.
Member: Methodist Church.
Survivors: Sons, Harry, Alexander, Herman, La Crosse, and Clarence, Bazine; daughters, Mrs. Sarah Sucht, Burdette; Mrs. Esther Phillips and Mrs. Bertha Collins, both of Nekoma, and Mrs. Clara Scott, Guyman, Okla.; brother, Adam Bott, Alexander; 28 grandchildren, 21 grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, First Methodist Church; Revs. Robert Jefferies and LeRoy Bott. Burial: La Crosse Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to the Methodist Church. Call Hoover - Pittman Funeral Home, 2 to 10 p.m. Tuesday.
