Rosemary E. Johnson, 83, of Lafayette, IN, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Indiana University Health. She was born November 25, 1928, in Lafayette, to the late Maurice and Louise Taylor Bowyer.
Rosemary attended Lafayette Jefferson High School and on June 19, 1946 she married Lloyd Cornell and he preceded her in death. She then married Lionel Johnson in 1982 and he preceded her death.
Mrs. Johnson worked at the Brown Rubber, Warren Paper, cleaned houses and was a carpenter and homemaker. She was a member of Colburn United Methodist Church and DAR and enjoyed knitting, geneology and family history. Surviving are her children Robert D. Cornell wife Sandra, Lafayette, Lloyd G. Cornell wife Xiaoyu Wei, Indianapolis, Ronald W. Cornell, Darlington, Jeffrey D. Cornell wife Yvonne, West Lafayette, Marcus L. Cornell, Darlington and 20 grandchiildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Rosemary was preceded in death by a son David E. Cornell. Also surviving are stepchildren Roy W. Johnson, SC, Terry R. Johnsohn, GA, G. Lionel Johnson, NC, Valerie Hochlein, NC and a former daughter-in-law Troy Marie Cornell of Indianapolis.
