Frank E. "Pete" Bowyer, 85, of Battle Ground, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011, at his residence.
He was born on Feb. 22, 1926 in Lafayette to the late Maurice Bowyer and Louisia Taylor Bowyer. He was also preceded in death by a son, Eddie Bowyer in 1966; 4 sisters, Anne Birch, Mildred Haun, Helen Carter and Myrtle Lashbrook and 2 brothers, William Bowyer and James Bowyer.
He married Frances Jordan. He then married June A. Shockey Campbell in Lafayette. She survives. Also surviving are four children, Joseph A. Bowyer (wife: Marlene), Marjorie L. Cooley (husband: John), both of Lafayette, Thomas E. Bowyer (wife: Arlene) and Tonda Courtney (husband: Gary), both of Rossville; two stepchildren, Pamela Muston and Robert Campbell (wife: Linda), both of Lafayette; a sister, Rosemary Johnson of Lafayette; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army.
