Myrtle Mae Bowyer Lashbrook, 79, of West Lafayette, died at 5:35 PM Friday, May 30, 2003, in Lafayette Home Hospital. Born Aug. 31, 1923, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Louisa Adeline Taylor Bowyer, and a lifelong resident. Mrs. Lashbrook retired from Fairfield Manufacturing and had previously worked at Brown Rubber. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to flea markets, and outdoor activities.

Surviving are two sons, James E. Bowyer (wife Marianne) of West Point and Jerry Schaible (wife Doreen) of Monticello; three daughters, Janet Olinger, Joann Gregory (husband Tom), both of Lafayette, and Juanita Lanie (husband Larry) of Racine, WI; two brothers, Jim Bowyer (wife Marie) of West Lafayette and Frank "Pete" Bowyer (wife June) of Battle Ground; three sisters, Helen Carter, Rosemary Johnson, and Mildred Haughn, all of Lafayette; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Bowyer; and a sister, Ann Birch. Service June 3, Hippensteel Chapel; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
