Mrs. Arthur Hutchins Death
Frances Saville Bateman, daughter of William and Margaret Ann Bateman, was born in Central City, May 11, 1884 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lois White, December 8, 1946 at the age of 62 years, six months and 27 days.
With the exception of 19 years spent in Minnesota, she had lived her entire life in this community. She was married May 9, 1900 to Arthur Franklin Hutchins. To this union were born three sons and four daughters, one of whom died at birth. Left to mourn her passing are her husband, three sons, Harry of Lakeland, Washington, Paul, of Central City and Louis, of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Myers of Nashwauk, Minnesota; Mrs. Richard Ford and Mrs. Lois White of Central City; three brothers, George, of Marion, John of Winthrop, and Glenn, of Cedar Rapids; four sisters, Mrs. Katie Soesbe, Glasgow, Montana, Mrs. Nettie Gilchrist, Central City, Mrs. Floy Hyde, of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Max DuBois, of Independence; and 13 grandchildren.
She was loved by everyone who knew her and the entire community is saddened by her passing.
Funeral services were conducted at the Federated church Wednesday, December 11 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. C. A. Hughes. Interment was in Mount Clark cemetery.
