Leone Sigurdson, 76, Central City, died Monday in a Cedar Rapids hospital following a short illness. A resident of Central City for two years, she formerly lived in Minnesota and Washington.
Born Violet Leone Hutchins on October 10, 1904, at Central City, she was married to Fred Myers in September 1920. He died in 1949. She then was married to Gunnar Sigurdson in September 1950 at Grayland, Washington.
Survivors include three sons, Maurice Myers of Oakville, Washington, Duane Myers of Hibbing, Minnesota and Richard Myers of Pengilly, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. David Goodson of Antioch, California and Mrs. Bruce Gray of Olympia, Washington; two brothers, Paul Hutchins of Martinez, California and Louis Hutchins of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; two sisters, Mrs. Clark Mason and Mrs. Richard Ford, both of Central City; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at the Murdoch Chapel, Central City, by the Rev. F. William Hilker. Burial: Mount Clark Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. The casket will not be opened after the service.
