She was the daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice Overby and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mrs. Skipper was a retired customer service representative for Southern Bell and was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Mrs. Skipper is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years: Pete Skipper, Sr.; daughter: Sherry Hamby; son and daughter-in-law: Pete and Mary Skipper, Jr. and Ken Skipper; sister: Helen Burdge; brothers: Henry Overby, Clarence Overby and Clinton Overby; seven grandchildren; and by two great-grandchildren.
Deceased siblings include: Dorothy Mae Overby Lacey, John Kenneth Overby, Earl Franklin Overby, and Billy Clyde Mangum.
