Clinton Lee Overby of Norcross, Georgia, age 71, died on January 19, 2013 in the Embracing Hospice In Snellville, Georgia of Metastatic Bladder Cancer and history of Chron's Disease. He was the son of the late Charles Henry and Beatrice Mangum Overby. He was born in Rebecca, Turner County, Georgia and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rebecca, Georgia.

He was a retired senior engineer with the Lanier World Wide Corporation and served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. Survivors include his children, Rebecca Lee (Robert) Colvin, Lilburn, Georgia and Maria Elizabeth Overby, Douglasville, Georgia; step-son, Victor Manual (Michelle) Palumbo, Evanston, Illinois; the mother of his children, Maria Julia Overby, Douglasville, Georgia. Also surviving are three grandchildren, and two step grandchildren, and his brothers, Clarence (Carol) Overby, Verbena, Alabama and Henry Delano Overby Winona, Missouri. A sister JoyceHelen Burdge, Juliette, Georgia. Also, he is survived by his eleven nieces and sixteen nephews.

He was preceded by his other siblings: Billy Clyde Mangum, Dorothy Mae Overby Lacey, Izola Overby Skipper, John Kenneth Overby, and Earl Franklin Overby.

The family will receive friends from noon till the hour of services at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn, Georgia.
