Mary Ann had a sister Rachael born in 1866 and a brother Samuel Stott Jr. Born in 1868. It is believed that her mother died shortly after his birth.
Samuel Stott Sr. remarried a few years later. to Margaret Dunlap.Mary Ann married Charles Brooke Dunlap 11 in Wilmington , Delaware on 21 October, 1877.Margaret was an older sister of Charles.
Together, they raised eight children: Arthur Wilmer, William Thomas, Charles Brooke111, Eva Ruth, Samuel Stott, Truman Coates, Elizabeth Valentine and Emma. Eventually, the family settled in Delaware County,Pa., residing in Chester, Media and lastly Bortendale,where she died in 1943.
She is remembered as a soft spoken and kind lady and was loved deeply by her children and grandchildren.
She is buried in Middletown Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Elwyn with her husband,sons Truman and Charles and daughter in law Elizabeth,wife of Charles.
