Brooke married Mary Ann Fullerton Stott on 21 October 1877 in Wilmington, Delaware. She emigrated with her family from County Armagh, Northern Ireland at the age of nine.together ,they raised eight children-- five sons and three daughters.Their names were: Arthur Wilmer,William Thomas,Charles Brooke 111,Eva Ruth, Samuel Stott ,Truman Coates, Elizabeth Valentine and Emma.The family eventually moved to Delaware County, Pa. and lived in Chester,Media and lastly,Bortendale where he lived until his death in 1929.
He is remembered as a kind man and loving father and grandfather.
He is buried in the Dunlap family plot at Middletown Presbyterian Church Cemetery,Elwyn,Pa.In later years,he would be joined by his wife, sons Truman and Charles and Elizabeth,the wife of Charles.
