Mrs. Charles E. Henschel, 73, a resident of the Town of Meeme, died Monday at the Memorial Hospital, following a long illness. Her maiden name was Alvina Brandt. She was born In Menomonee, Mich., June 3, 1880. She was the daughter of Albert and Bertha (Rieck) Brandt. She was baptized in 1880 in Menomonee and confirmed in town of Centerville in 1901. Her marriage to Mr. Henschel took place April 20, 1899, in Marinette. For eight years they lived on a farm in the town of Centerville and the past 48 years on their present farm, although they retired several years ago. They observed their golden anniversary in 1949. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of Bethel Ev and Reformed Church, town of Herman.
The survivors include her husband; four sons, Albert and Edwin, Kiel; Melvin, town of Herman; Elmer, Manitowoc; four daughters, Mrs. Otto (Evelyn) Ebeling, town of Herman; Mrs. Arnold (Myrtle) Kraemer, Osman; Mrs. Ewald (Hilda) Stock, Newton; and Mrs. Hugo (Irene) Grosskopf, town of Herman; 24 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five brothers, Arthur, Frank and Chester, of Faithhorn, Mich.; Melvin of Florence; and Walter of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Vern King of Faithhorn; and Mrs. Elva Turner, Indianapolis. Two daughters preceded her in death, Mrs. Violet Reichert; and Mrs. Elva Klemme; two brothers and one sister.
Services will be held at the Bethel Ev. and Reformed Church, Town of Herman. The Rev. W. C. Koehler will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
